Application for a Street Trading Consent, VVIP Outdoor Catering Report of Director - Environment is attached. Additional documents:
Minutes: The Committee considered a report of the Director – Environment, Paul Barton, presented by the Licensing Officer, Nicola Eden, which advised of an application for street trading consent, where objections had been received.
The application proposed trading times as Monday to Saturday 7:30am to 8:00pm.
The Committee was advised that nine representations objecting to the application had been received from members of the public.
The applicant and his representative attended the meeting and answered questions of the Committee.
A member of the public who had objected to the application attended the meeting and answered questions of the Committee.
In reaching its decision, the Committee took into account all relevant guidelines and policies, the evidence and representations provided.
Resolved: The Committee grant the application subject to the following conditions:
(1) amended trading times: April – September: 8:00am – 8:00pm October – March: 8:00am – 6:00pm; and (2) the use of the lighting to be limited to the internal area of the unit and the downlighting on the external signage only.

Suitability to Continue to Hold a Hackney Carriage Drivers’ Licence Report of Director - Environment is attached. Minutes: The Committee considered a report of the Director – Environment, presented by Licensing Officer, Graeme Pendlebury, which advised of a road traffic collision between a hackney carriage vehicle, licensed with Wigan Council, and another vehicle. The driver had failed to notify the Council of the collision as per the conditions on his licence.
The driver and his representative attended the meeting and answered questions of the Committee.
In reaching its decision, the Committee took into account all evidence and representations provided, the circumstances surrounding the incident and all relevant guidelines.
Resolved: The Committee issues the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Driver with a written warning in respect of his actions, which is to be attached to his licence. |
