Review of a Personal Licence, under Section 132A of the Licensing Act 2003 following Conviction of a Relevant Offence as defined in Schedule 4 of the Act

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Director – Environment, Paul Barton, presented by the Senior Licensing Officer, Carole Aspey, which advised Members of a review of a Personal Licence following a conviction of a relevant offence as defined in Schedule 4 of Section 132A of the Licencing Act 2003.

 

The Sub-Committee was advised that, on 15 March 2024, an email had been received by the Licensing Team from the Personal Licence holder informing them of a conviction of drink-driving.

 

The Personal Licence holder attended the meeting and answered questions of the Sub-Committee.

 

In reaching its decision, the Sub-Committee considered the national guidance issued by the Home Office, the Local Authority’s Licensing Policy and the Licensing Act 2003 Section 132A.

 

Resolved: The Sub-Committee suspends the Personal Licence for a period of one month.
