Issue details
Work Well Partnerships (WWP) Wigan Locality
WWP is not a traditional employment support
programme and is described as “an early-intervention work and
health assessment service, with low-intensity holistic support for
their health-related barriers to employment and a single, joined-up
view and gateway into the services that are available locally to
tackle their specific needs.”
This decision is;
1) For Wigan Council’s acceptance of the full possible grant
allocation and terms for the delivery of the Work Well Partnership
Programme in the Wigan Borough locality (as part of the Greater
Manchester Vanguard) from Greater Manchester ICB. This amount it
£743,084.
2) For Wigan Council to then use a proportion of the grant
allocation to commission a local GM based specialist skills and
employment provider to deliver the ‘health and
employment’ support offer of the delivery model to local
residents enrolled on the WWP programme. (The contract will be
awarded via contract exemption on the basis that the money awarded
via GMCA Grant has short timescales parameters to set up the
service as a matter of urgency and will be done via the GMCA
Flexible Procurement System)
